Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28 in 1967. Julia Fiona Roberts is the fourth generation of Roberts living in Atlanta. Her father was keen interest from a young age in the stage. In 1952, while a student of Emory University, he performed on stage in a number of shows in Atlanta. After he enlisted in the Air force and was spotted alongside Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in 1957. Walter attended Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in the year 1957. Walter was employed as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of the show Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. They founded an Actors and Writers Workshop in that same year. It lasted 6 years. They had Lelisa Billingsley (also known as Lisa) as well as Julia (also called Julie) at the time.
